Learn More About Reiki Training In 2022
To learn Reiki for the first time, there are many different reasons. For many people, the desire to help othersis why they sign up for a class. Many of us know someone who could use some help with their health, like a family member or a friend. It's natural to want to do something good for the people we care about.
Several people want to help themselves get better, and they have heard that with Reiki, you can help yourself. Reiki can help some people relax or deal with hectic, stressful lives, but some people want to add it to the list of therapies they already offer their clients.
It doesn't matter what the reason was. The most common one is that "it just felt right." Personal and spiritual growth happens as people go through all the things that happen in their lives. It seems that when the time is right for Reiki to come into your life, it comes instead of you going looking for Reiki.
What you do will start to show up in your life in some way. You might read an article in a magazine, hear a conversation in a café, or find out that your best friend just finished a course. Is it new to you, or have you been thinking about it for a long time? It's called "Reiki training".
How Do People Acquire The Ability To Use Reiki?
Reiki is the simplest and easiest holistic healing method available to us, so anyone can learn to use it, whatever their age or gender, religion, or origin. No specific prior knowledge or experience is required; you need only a desire to learn, a willingness to let this healing energy flow through you, and some spare time to attend a short course.
However, Reiki cannot be “learned” in any of the ways we in the West are familiar. You cannot acquire the ability to channel Reiki by reading a book, attending a lecture, or watching a television program or video. However, you can learn how to use Reiki in those ways - for example, where to place your hands when carrying out a Reiki treatment.
Reiki does not require any learning in the traditional sense because it is not knowledge-based; it is experience-based. You have to take part in a special ceremony of spiritual empowerment, usually called an attunement or initiation, where you become initiated into the Reiki energy by a qualified Reiki Master who has been taught how to carry out that process so that you become a Reiki channel, able to draw Reiki into yourself whenever and wherever you wish to.
Becoming A Reiki Channel
The spiritual empowerment "attunes" your energy body to the specific vibrational frequencies of the Reiki energy, allowing the Reiki to flow easily into and around your energy field. A permanent spiritual channel (a type of conduit in the energy body to carry spiritual energy) is also created or reactivated.
Reiki (and only Reiki) can then flow into your crown chakra, down your arms to the center of each palm, and out through this channel (see illustration, page 30).
This channel is invisible (except to psychics), but I describe it as an energy equivalent of a fiber-optic tube. Just as light can pass through a fiber-optic tube and shine out the other end, Reiki passes through your energy body and out your hands.
In many spiritual traditions throughout history, "channeling" healing energy is similar to "channeling" other forms of spiritual energy. "Speaking in tongues" is a mystical experience that includes mediumship, communicating with spirit guides (human spirits who have lived before and now help humans follow their spiritual path).
They say they "channeled" new symbols, methods of attunement, or hand positions to enhance their healing. Others claim to "channel" information from advanced spiritual guides.
This means they have received insight and inspiration from a source other than themselves, such as their Souls/Higher Selves, during meditation, visualization, creative activities, or simply walking in nature. This can result in a profound spiritual psychic experience for some of these people.
For others, it's more like waking up from a powerful and enlightening dream. After being attuned to Reiki's energetic vibration, channeling it is simple, easy, and automatic, and it feels completely natural.
Levels Of Reiki Training
There usually are three levels of training, although sometimes you may encounter Reiki Masters who split the training into four, five, or even seven parts. The levels are usually described as Reiki 1, 2, and 3 or Reiki I, II, and III or often as Reiki First, Second and Third Degrees - but this does not refer to (or confer) any academic level or qualification.
Families can learn to use Reiki to improve their overall well-being or to treat illness. By practicing Reiki on themselves and one another, the family fosters a culture of wellness, strengthens bonds, and develops healthy living habits that can last a lifetime.
